The Register of Anonymous Airframes was started in the 1980's as a way of flagging up aircraft which had not managed to be given a formal method of identification for one reason or another.
Examples include:
a. "Pioneer" aircraft built before registration systems came into force
b. Unfinished projects
c. Deliberate omissions
d. Reproductions and replicas
e. Types not included on formal registers such as Hang Gliders and Man Powered Aircraft
f. Large and Full Scale Models (FSM), usually built using modern materials to create a facsimile rather than the more accurate reproduction or replica.
Thanks to Lloyd P Robinson, the Registrar of Airframes, for updates.
All pictures are my own, except where credited.
Format is BAPC Number - identity/marks worn - type - c/n, where known - owner/location - notes.
